County listings for Nevada
The State of Nevada will now utilize OffenderWatch® as the standard registration/data collection and offender management tool for each registration point statewide including all the Sheriffs Offices and Police Departments. Each office registers offenders and electronically updates the state registry, managed by the Department of Public Safety, saving time and improving accuracy. Updates to the registry occur in real time with full Adam Walsh Act/SORNA compliant data. OffenderWatch® automatically creates postal notification flyers for each agency to distribute in the community, and also automatically verifies at the point of entry that offender addresses do not violate safety buffers around schools, day cares, parks and churches.
Via the Nevada Department of Public Safetys web site, citizens will be able to access the OffenderWatch® web page and search for and map offenders statewide near any address important to them, to search for specific offenders by name, and to view community information relative to sex offenders. Citizens will also be able to confidentially register to receive email alerts should any offender move into the watch radius they establish near any address important to them (from .25 miles out to 2 miles), and they can track any specific offender and be notified if that offender moves.
